Autism Attacked and Reversed in 9 Year-Old Boy with Medical Cannabis

Autism Attacked and Reversed in 9 Year-Old Boy with Medical Cannabis

There is no doubt in my mind that the story line is correct. Cannabis is one of the divine Being’s most sophisticated medicines. This is medical cannabis, the so-called industrial or food-grade hemp, is the type which is most reliable for use as a medicinal aid. It is a beautiful, aromatic plants. Moreover, aromatic plants offer the most powerful of all medicinal capacities.
Some people call it a controversy, but, in fact, there is nothing controversial about it. Hemp has been long known as a potent medicine. The seeds were used as a restorative in Ottoman Turkey for people recovering from illness. Prior to that in ancient Greece and China it was used as a powerful, reliable anesthetic for surgery.
Consider the Chinese use:
During the second century A.D., the Chinese surgeon, Hua T’o, began to use cannabis as an anesthesia. He combined cannabis resin with wine (ma-yo) and used it to reduce pain during surgery. He performed painful organ drafts, resectioning of the intestines, loin incisions, and chest incisions while the patient was anesthetized with ma-yo.
Obviously, hemp is highly active upon the central nervous system.
The active ingredients with anesthetic powers are the cannabidiol compounds and also the novel terpene beta caryophyllene.

In a remarkable consequence a young child, nine years-old, who is autistic spoke his first words after consuming cannabidiol-rich hemp oil. The case involves a youth who developed autism after being subjected to brutally toxic medical treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation:

Controversial Cannabis Treatment Helps 9-Year-Old Boy Speak His First Words

Though Kalel Santiago of Puerto Rico is only 9 years old, he’s already endured some adult-level struggles. At just 10 months, he was diagnosed with the rare childhood cancer neuroblastoma, and spent more than two years undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Then came the next diagnosis: severe, non-verbal autism.

“While he was in the hospital, we noticed he didn’t speak at all and had some behavior that wasn’t right, like hand flapping, and walking on his toes,” his father, Abiel Gomez Santiago, tells Yahoo Parenting from the family’s home in Aguada. “But we waited until he was 3 and cancer-free to look at his behavior.”

He and his wife Gladys — also parents to two older boys, now 18 and 20 — did a cram course in educating themselves on autism. They tried various schools and therapies, and eventually found impressive success with a unique surf-therapy school near their home. Then, through an April fundraising event for that program, the Santiagos happened upon a treatment that would quickly change their lives: hemp oil, rich in the compound cannabidiol (CBD), which has been shown, at least anecdotally, to dramatically ease symptoms of both epilepsy and autism.

They took home the tiny sample bottle of spray and began giving their son twice daily doses, as directed on the label, right into his mouth. And the results, they say, were startling: Kalel started talking — in just two days.

“He surprised us in school by saying the vowels, A-E-I-O-U. It was the first time ever,” Abiel says. “You can’t imagine the emotion we had, hearing Kalel’s voice for the first time. It was amazing. The teacher recorded him and sent it to my wife and me and we said well, the only different thing we have been doing is using the CBD.” Soon thereafter, he adds, Kalel started using consonants to connect his sounds. “He said, ‘amo mi mama,’ ‘I love my mom,’” Abiel says. “I don’t know how to thank [the CBD oil makers].”

The cannabodiol compounds act on receptor sites in the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of beneficial actions. This is also true of the compound beta caryophyllene, which is essentially a dietary cannabinoid. The action is direct and rapid, as demonstrated in this case. It is possible that as a result of the toxic overload the endocannabinoid receptor system was disrupted, and this was reinstated by the hemp oil active ingredients.

The mechanism of action is through the activation of key cellular receptor sites, known as CB2 receptors. These are the receptors that have nothing to do with psychotropic actions and rather are involved in the regulation of normal physiology. Key substances which activate these receptors are the cannabinoids and also beta caryophyllene. Hemp is rich in both of these, while other aromatic plants, like wild oregano and rosemary, are rich in beta caryophyllene.

Look for a new, novel supplements made from raw cannabinoid/beta carophyllene-rich organic hemp oil, ideally combined with beta caroyphyllene- and carvacrol-rich wild oregano oil. For the greatest potency both oils are carbon dioxide-extracted, which means they are raw, which is the ideal form in which to procure these compounds. As always, the whole, crude, raw extract is superior to fractionated elements.

Hemp, then, will create a balance in the nervous system through its actions on the neurons themselves. See how balanced, how refined, is its leaves. This is highly telling about the balance it can create in the human body.

See how organized it is. See how systematic is the leaf structure. In fact, the plant gives signs of its powers through its precise physical structure. This is a sign that the active ingredients of cannabis can help structure a person’s neurological system, virtually structure the person’s life.

When the whole, crude raw extract is taken, there is an overall sense of wellness. This is not just for people who suffer from neurological impairment and/or cancer. This is a whole body benefit formula. That’s because the activation of the CB2 receptors benefits a vast number of organ and cellular systems, including those of the immune system, bone marrow, heart, endocrine glands, brain, spinal cord, spleen, liver, and more.
